How to Make Overnight Oats for A Really Super On-the-go Breakfast

There are just those days when you have to crunch your time and eat as go. Or perhaps, you just don’t have the time to whip up something for breakfast in the morning.

I’m a firm believer that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This is why it’s never a good idea to skip it. There are lots of ways to make sure you have something to eat in the morning. Not only that there are healthy and yummy ways to do it. For instance, I just love overnight oats! It’s easy to make and it’s something that you can prepare at night and is good to-go in the morning.

I don’t use any type of jars for my overnight oats. I prefer to use air-tight jars like Priority Chef glass storage jars for my oats, especially when I plan to bring it with me. All you need to do is to add your chosen ingredients in a jar and pop it the refrigerator and take it out in the morning and voila you have your breakfast ready!

The best thing about overnight oats is that you can easily switch things up to create different flavors. With some imagination and experimentation, you will have new flavors every day!

Ingredients

1/2 cup oats

1/2 cup fresh milk (almond milk, soy milk or any milk of choice)

1/2 banana

A small handful of raspberries

1 tbs chia seeds

1/2 tbsp peanut butter (almond butter, sunflower butter or any nut butter of choice)

A small handful of grated coconut

A small handful of granola

1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder

Instructions

First add the oats at the bottom of the jar and the layer in the protein powder, chia seeds, banana, and strawberries.

Add in the milk or any milk of your choice, top with your nut butter and seal with a lid.

Refrigerate the oats overnight.

Just before eating, shake the oats and until everything is thoroughly combined. You can add more fruits and granola if you like.

Feel free to mix things up and change the milk and fruits of your choice. You can even add in some flax seed meal or even clusters. Feel free to add almonds and seed to give it more crunch. Enjoy!
